Laziness can only keep me for so long. I've been paying for Carbonite for years. It was previously a great product. However, every few months, something new seems to happen to make me like it less and less. I just tried accessing something from the mobile app and I got a message saying the application cannot be installed on rooted devices. One problem... My phone hasn't been rooted. I restarted my phone but still can't log in. I don't see myself renewing at the end of this term.

Works for me. I read the reviews that said you couldn't connect to the server. I installed the app anyway, logged in, and tapped on the name of my computer. Sure enough, i got the dreaded "can't connect to server". I tried a couple of times, gave up and set my phone down. When I came back, I was connected. I was able to view a text file and a proprietary format music file.

This application is a joke. It has so many bugs and have not been updated for very long time. The Windows application is not better. I was with Carbonite for couple years. Their prices used to be the lowest so I closed my eye on the terrible applications. Since their prices are now the same as Google Drive I will finish the subscription I have and move to Google. The quality difference is huge. I will better pay couple $ more to Google for painless access than always experincing some error message when trying to see my files through my cell.

What's new

1. Added a new tab “Home” to display the files that were recently accessed in your mobile app.
The home tab is initially hidden, after you access a file, the home tab appears on the screen. The recent 5 files for that computer will be displayed on the home tab, up to 30 will be displayed when you click on the computer.
The “Browse All Files” button can be used to browse all the files, like the “Browse” tab.
2. Bugs fixes
